Good afternoon, Montessori Parents,
We teachers warmly welcome your families to another blessed academic year, 2026–2027!
This year, seven new children are joining our Montessori community. In these first days, we’ve been slowly but surely settling into our routine. After church prayers, we begin a morning work period with many lesson presentations, along with classroom etiquette, caring for our friends, and caring for our environment. It’s busy, but it’s so rewarding to lay a strong foundation right away and build on it all year. Our eight kindergarteners know the expectations and are ready to lead!
A few requests:
Change of clothes: Please send a spare set of clothes in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name. It doesn’t need to be uniform clothing.
Leggings, not tights: Girls should wear leggings, not tights, under their jumpers.
Lunch practice: Please practice opening and closing lunch bags and containers at home, especially with our younger children.
Birthdays:
To celebrate, please send a healthy snack bar (no nuts or sesame) to share with the class, along with about 10 photos of your child from birth to now. If you don’t have printed photos (we know almost everything is digital these days!), feel free to email a few to me, and I’ll share them with the class. Talking through their stories together helps the children connect and bond.
Thank you, and I hope this is helpful!
Ms. Padma & Mrs. Perussi
