School Secretary — Mrs. Elizabeth (Liz) Handy

Mrs. Elizabeth (Liz) Handy grew up in a military family, and lived all over the U.S., as well as South Korea. In 2009, she moved to Oregon to finish college and also met her husband, Shawn, during that time. In 2012, they were married and now have two young children, Liam (who attends the ASA Montessori program) and Lucia. After being baptized into the Orthodox faith in June 2022, their desire to align their lives with the life of the church only grew. When Liz discovered that there was an Orthodox school her children could attend and also a job opportunity for herself, she was thrilled about the opportunity. She joined the ASA family in November 2023 and it has been an immense blessing to her family. She looks forward to forming deep connections with the students, families, and staff, and is honored and excited to be part of this ministry.
