Agia Sophia Academy is currently looking to hire a part-time Greek Language Teacher for this current school year. Teaching days are Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00am-1:00pm, with possible flexibility in the schedule. The ideal candidate speaks and writes fluent Greek, has classroom teaching experience, strong classroom management skills, and an interest and ability in helping ASA develop a vibrant Greek language and culture program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an energetic teacher with a love for integrating curriculum and interest in being part of a small, growing school.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Greek Language
- Proven classroom management skills for PreK-5th grade.
- Success instructing students in Greek Language and culture.
- Relevant teaching experience.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Prepare and develop level-appropriate lesson plans for Greek Language and Culture instruction.
- Regularly assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and other teachers.
- Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings, and training.
- Effectively implement the school’s vision in the classroom and create a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.
